From the next page, this comic is gonna become a little spoilerish. Maybe. I'm not really sure, because for now I didn't read "The secret crusade" and I don't know if the book is canon or not. Anyway, if you don't want to risk, don't read further. :)

Page 7

Altair's view of life becomes more and more pessimistic through the years, until the last page of the Codex, which is an example of pure universal pessimism. I think that the more he managed to know about the pieces of Eden and about Those who came before, the more his life continued through tragedies, the more he slipped deep into depression. Until the final conclusion that there is no redemption, no salvation, and that the cosmos cares nothing for human beings.
I see much of my own concept of life and death in his words. This is why I relate with him and I love him so much. :)

Wait, I have a question:

Is the woman holding Tazim, Malik's wife? *confused*

Other than that, I loved your comics!

Ohh! I re-read it! Sorry! XD Maria looks so motherly now! *grins* Maybe it's because of Altair and her kids! ^_^

The Secret Crusade is canon, because it is a book that was brought out by Ubisoft, though printed by Ace Books. But the writer fully adapted the first game and Bloodlines and tells you more of Altaïr's life, which is indeed quite tragic. It really tells you a lot but to me it raises a question of how their first son was conceived in Acre. But I really advice you to read it. It's quite tragic in the end, but I liked it very much. If you can't be bothered you can read the full story on the Assassin's Creed wiki. Keep up the good work, but know the story and your comic shall have a lot more value to itself!

These COMICS ARE AMAZING.. ++++ [link] i think u should keep going ... maybe color them idk.. but there very very good..

as for the books.. have read all three.. there allot like reading the game but have allot more detail.. so me being a hardcore creed nerd.. enjoyed them..

im almost sure Ubisoft said they were Canon so it does follow the story..

Thanks! :D I didn't read the book yet, only the AC Wiki! :) I don't know if I really want to read Bowden again. I hated his previous AC books. XD

Few, good to know that a fellow deviant didn't fall into the "Bowden Illusion". I'll never understand how people can say that his books are good. Or how they can even qualify it as "literature". Oh well... It's their choice.
